Pinellas DUI Manslaughter Charges Filed Against Woman In Clearwater Crash

Earlier today we told you that authorities suspected drunk driving in a fatal crash in Clearwater early this morning. Now Bay News 9 is reporting DUI manslaughter charges have been filed against 32-year-old Nicole Marina Scholl. Scholl’s passenger Anthony Steven Campaign was killed instantly when she lost control of her car and struck a power pole.

According to the story on the Bay News 9 website, Scholl was uninjured in the crash but was taken to Bayfront Medical Center in St. Petersburg. Deputies report that the 32-year-old showed signs of alcohol impairment following the crash. She was arrested and booked into the Pinellas County Jail. There is no mention she has retained a Clearwater DUI Attorney as of this time.

DUI And Drug Charges Filed In Pinellas Against Woman Who Ran Into An Amscot Building

Back in December Dina Bruemmer was seriously injured when she ran her car into an Amscot Financial building. Nearly two months later she has been arrested for DUI,driving with a suspended license, possession of Xanax and possession of Oxycodone. She was arrested Tuesday according to TBO.com.

The incident that resulted in Bruemmer’s arrest took place around 1:00 a.m. on December 28. Her Dodge SUV hit an Amscot but not before she ran over a sidewalk, through a few lots, a retaining wall and a utility pole. She also hit a palm tree.

Drunk Driving Accident Lands Pinellas County Sheriff’s Deputy In Jail

A Pinellas County Sheriff’s deputy was arrested for drunk driving following a car accident early Tuesday morning. According to ABC Action News Deputy Wade Nordby had been drinking while driving and was booked into Pinellas County Jail on DUI charges.

Pinellas Sherriff’s Deputies were dispatched to a one-car crash Tuesday morning. Dunedin Fire Rescue was first to arrive on the scene of the accident, which took place on Alternate 18 and Duchess Boulevard. Nordby’s car allegedly rolled over after hitting a barrier.

Clearwater Man Sentenced To 15 Years In DUI Manslaughter After Killing Elderly Man On A Scooter

Pinellas County judge> has sentenced a Clearwater man to 15 years for a drunk driving accident that claimed the life of an elderly man crossing a street on a mobility scooter. Angus T. Davis III pled guilty to DUI manslaughter, which is <second DUI conviction. He received his first DUI in 1992.

The DUI manslaughter charges stem from a December 2007 accident where David ran over a decorated World War II Army veteran. Jack Schaffer was crossing a Clearwater street on his mobility scooter when Davis hit him. The 84-year-old man participated in the invasion of Normandy. After the crash, Davis registered a blood-alcohol level of 0.348.

St. Petersburg Man Crashes Into Police Car While Driving Drunk

Pinellas Park police are reporting a St. Petersburg man crashed into one of their police cruisers while driving drunk Wednesday evening. According to Bay News 9, Steven Jason Roberts, ran into the police car and then left the scene of the accident. He was later apprehended after abandoning his Jeep Cherokee and fleeing the scene of a second crash. He has been charged with DUI, driving while license suspended, leaving the scene of an accident, burglary and probation violation.

The officer in the police car was unable to chase the suspect due to the damage done to his cruiser. Officer Bradley Serata was taken to the hospital and later released. Roberts was taken to the hospital as well after an arrest without incident. According to Bay News 9, Roberts has been arrested five times before in Pinellas County.

St. Pete Cop Charged With DUI And Hit-And-Run Following Friday Night Crash

Anthony Matthew Green, who has been a St. Petersburg patrol officer since 2005, has been charged with DUI and leaving the scene of an accident following a Friday night car crash. The 30-year-old alleged blew more than twice the legal limit as his blood alcohol level registered at .179 and .173 when police located him sitting inside of his car outside his Shore Acres home.

Green was booked into Pinellas County Jail around 3:30 a.m. Saturday according to the St. Petersburg Times. The crash took place at 38th Ave. N and 4th St. Green allegedly damaged two vehicles but nobody was injured. The police officer was in physical control of his vehicle according to the arresting officers when they located him.
