Drunk Driving Charges In Tavares Filed Against Wife Of City Mayor

A woman passed out behind the wheel of a running car turned out to be the wife of the mayor of Tavares, Florida and according to police she also turned out to be driving drunk. Sharon Nichols Wolfe was arrested and charged withleaving the scene of an accident and DUI after police found her passed out in her car in handicapped parking space outside of Florida Hospital Waterman.

According to reports, Wolfe crashed her Camaro into a speed limit sign and then took off. A witness called911 and that is when police located the woman passed out in the car some time after 5:00 a.m. Sunday. Police discovered a bottle of Kahlua and Bailey’s Irish Cream in the car. They also discovered Ambien in the vehicle. Wolfe had a blood alcohol level below the legal limit but allegedly told police she had combined the alcohol with the prescription drugs.

Spring Hill DUI Arrest At The McDonald’s Drive Thru Following St. Patty’s Celebration At Tampa Pub

A Spring Hill man wearing a wristband from an Irish Pub in Tampa was found by police passed out at the wheel of his truck at a McDonalds drive-thru early Thursday morning. Eric M. Spevack was arrested on drunk driving charges according to TampaBay.com after what appears to be a night of celebrating St. Patrick’s Day that he tried to finish off with a McDonalds’ meal.The restaurant manager called law enforcement after Spevack spent about 30 minutes next to the speaker box. When officers arrived they found the 25-year-old passed out with the car running and in drive. Spevak displayed signs of impairment according to officers who reported slurred speech and bloodshot, watery eyes. He allegedly failed field sobriety exercises and his blood-alcohol level registered 0.163 following breath tests. He was charged with DUI.

Florida Gator Carlos Dunlap Pleads Guilty To A DUI Charge In A Gainesville Courtroom, Gets Probation

Former Florida Gator defensive end Carlos Dunlap has pled guilty to  DUI in a Gainesville court and received the minimum mandatory sentence according to a story at GatorSports.com. Dunlap’s  drunk driving incident will land him on probation for one year and he will also face a six-month driver’s license suspension. On top of that there will be community service hours and fines incorporated into his DUI sentence.

The guilty plea for  driving under the influence stems from a December 1 arrest. At the time of the traffic stop Dunlap reportedly failed field sobriety tests and had trouble maintaining his balance. He refused a breath test. Police officers initiated their DUI investigation after Dunlap was spotted asleep at the wheel on a Gainesville street.

Florida Man Who Admits To Taking Oxycodone And Sleeping Pills Is Charged With DUI

Marion County deputies have arrested a man on DUI charges after they found him asleep at the wheel of his car . Antonin Kanka reportedly told police he had taken Oxycodone and sleeping pills as reported on the website of WFTV. Deputies claim Kanka failed field sobriety tests at the scene of the arrest and once again at the jail.

Deputies responded to a call of an erratic driver Friday evening and that is when they discovered Kanka asleep behind the wheel of his car at an intersection. The 56-year-old allegedly slept through several light cycles.

Shoppers At New Port Richey Target Store Alert Police To Drunk Driver

Shoppers at a local New Port Richey Target store noticed 59-year-old George Burnosky seemed intoxicated and when he left the store to get behind the wheel of his car people at the store alerted the police to a possible drunk driver. When Pasco County deputies arrived on the scene the Pasco man was asleep at the wheel with the engine running. After discovering an open bottle of Bacardi in his SUV, he was arrested on DUI charges.

Burnosky was found in the middle lane of the parking lot outside Target sound asleep and with what deputies thought were pink pills in and on his mouth according to a story on TBO.com. While the pills turned out to be breath mints, Burnosky admitted to drinking four rum and cokes and he was also on medication for his cholesterol. Mail Carrier Discovered Passed Out Drunk In His Mail Truck And Charged With DUI

Boynton Beach officials received a 911 call reporting a mail truck parked on the side of the road with a man slumped over the steering wheel. Officers went out to investigate the possible DUI and according to an article on NaplesNews.com they discovered 29-year-old Michael Crocilla passed out in his mail truck.

The mail carrier was in the middle of his route when he was discovered by police who report his blood alcohol level was .264 and .258, more than three times the legal limit. The U.S. Postal worker said he spent the entire previous night drinking wine and then drank a half a bottle of mouthwash to cover up the smell. He was charged with driving under the influence.

Man Driving The Wrong Way On A Divided Highway Nearly Hits A Cop And Is Arrested For DUI

Most DUI investigations begin with a visual observation of a motorists’ driving pattern. Most times an officer cites speeding, running a red light, weaving or falling asleep behind the wheel at a traffic light. Sometimes the driving pattern that indicates a motorist is impaired is a little more obvious. Take the case of Ocala’s Michael Singletary.
