A Florida police officer was arrested for DUI but his breath test registered 0.00. Police are now looking into the Cocoa Beach Officer for DUI drugs.

Orange Park DUI Checkpoint Nets 19 Arrests Saturday NightA Clay County DUI checkpoint netted 19 arrests Saturday night. The Orange Park DUI checkpoint was set up on Wells Road and according to Clay Today, 360 vehicles were stopped. The 19 arrests included charges of drunk driving, illegal narcotic possession, carrying a concealed weapon and habitual traffic offenders. There were also three arrests for outstanding warrants. One vehicle entered the checkpoint and then fled the scene. The Florida Highway Patrol tracked the car down and driver was charged with DUI, driving with a suspended license, fleeing and eluding. On top of the 19 arrests there were 12 moving violations assessed, 62 written warnings and 20 criminal citations according to the Clay County Sheriff’s office. March 19, 2010
Spring Hill DUI Arrest At The McDonald’s Drive Thru Following St. Patty’s Celebration At Tampa PubA Spring Hill man wearing a wristband from an Irish Pub in Tampa was found by police passed out at the wheel of his truck at a McDonalds drive-thru early Thursday morning. Eric M. Spevack was arrested on drunk driving charges according to TampaBay.com after what appears to be a night of celebrating St. Patrick’s Day that he tried to finish off with a McDonalds’ meal.The restaurant manager called law enforcement after Spevack spent about 30 minutes next to the speaker box. When officers arrived they found the 25-year-old passed out with the car running and in drive. Spevak displayed signs of impairment according to officers who reported slurred speech and bloodshot, watery eyes. He allegedly failed field sobriety exercises and his blood-alcohol level registered 0.163 following breath tests. He was charged with DUI. March 18, 2010

Luann K. Fernandez did not stop when police originally tried to pull her over and according to TampaBay.com she sped up to elude arrest. Drunk Driving Doc Faces DUI Charges In New Port RicheyAccording to TBO.com Ramappa admitted to drinking three glasses of wine before he was pulled over. He allegedly told police that was about an hour before his stop. The 70-year-old doctor was released from the Land O’Lakes jail on his own recognizance. Now Bay News 9 is reporting DUI manslaughter charges have been filed against 32-year-old Nicole Marina Scholl. Florida DUI Checkpoint – The FHP Will Have A DUI Checkpoint Set Up IN Pasco County FridayTampaBay.com is reporting that the Florida Highway Patrol will set up a Pasco County DUIcheckpoint Friday night from 7:00 p.m. – 3:00 a.m. The Pasco County Sheriff’s office will join other law enforcement agencies in an attempt to arrest drunk drivers and drivers under the influence of drugs. The checkpoint will be on U.S. Highway 41 and Hale Road. They will not only be looking for drunk drivers but also checking for drivers without proper insurance information or registrations. Drunk Driving Stop Leads To Marijuana Possession Charges Against Holiday WomanA 21-year-old Holiday woman was pulled over on suspicion of drunk driving when she ran a stop sign at 2:00 a.m. Saturday morning. Deputies approached the woman and could smell alcohol on her breath but that wasn’t the only thing they discovered. According to TBO.com Pasco County deputies found a green box with “Rebekah’s pot” written on it. Inside the box was apparently Rebekah Michal Tracht-Kader’s marijuana. According to sheriff’s reports the box they found contained a substance that was later confirmed as marijuana. Deputies also reported the woman had bloodshot eyes and slurred speech. She took a breath test and had a blood-alcohol level of 0.189 and 0.184. That came after she performed poorly on field sobriety tests. She was arrested and charged with marijuana possession and DUI.
